Indeed, though I wonder how any human being with a heart condition (or whatever it was he had) wound up a serious smack addict.

He was hit and miss for me. His good material was excellent, but when he failed he failed hard. I saw him live along with Stephen Lynch. Lynch was hilarious and killed the place. Hedberg got on and was so ed up beyond belief that nobody in the audience laughed. He kept saying, "Man, it'll get funny soon I promise." We left early, and so did about 40% of the crowd.
Of course, that was about half a year before he died, so that might've been a low point for him.

Amazing comic.
The world is truly a lesser place without Mitch. :/

I just don't like the turn things have taken after his death. He wasn't terribly well known prior, and suddenly became almost a fad afterwards, and for a lot of the wrong reasons, imo. I wish more people had either followed him earlier, or not turned his career into a sort of bandwagon.
Oh well. Still a great comic. Anybody who can make people laugh just by using humor is good in my book.
