this thread is WAY more popular than the TOTA pet rememberance thread.

I always thought that fish were on the lower end of the Pet spectrum. WOW was I wrong.

I hope G makes it to pet Heaven, By the way.

I think bush is still in the box. Just a little bush though. Enough for you to enjoy.

Satisfaction guaranteed my ass. I'd rather not disclose how it broke.

They aren't meant for use in or around the ass. That's unnatural. No wonder you broke it.

Well... I don't know how to say this, but...

To one person even a small fish can mean something. It is a live being, after all. You're taking care of it (at least you should be trying to take good care of it, since you've made a decision to obtain it for the purpose of it keeping you company). So it is only logical and natural that if this pet you were supposed to take good care of dies, you feel sad, even if it was only an insignificant "little" fish.

Sure, you might not need to hear about it and you don't care, but why make it seem like a crime that a person has decided to share it (even though it may seem silly)? Really, I think it's not the stupidest thread on this board, although that of course depends on personal opinion, what one person might fancy is not at all at heart with another one... that's the variety of individuals...

Hi barbi,

well, that's always disappointing to find, hope that your new fish will live longer and happy to please you and make up for your loss I only had a fish once so far, it was a purple male beta - the "fighter fish". My friend bought it for me and it died like after two months I just came home one afternoon and found it dead in the mini beta-tank (those stupid relatively small ones you can buy in the pet stores, which have no filter or heater). I didn't even know that it was sick, although in retrospect I relise that it must have been, cause some weeks before it died it started moving somewhat strangely in the tank, and my friend (who had fish a few times before) told me that he's never seen a fish to swim like that. Maybe it was in pain and was trying to give me a hint... I guess that I didn't know how to properly take care of it, i.e. whenever I changed the water in its tank, I always changed all of the water, and maybe I overfed it a little too. I was later told that you're not supposed to change all of the water at once, but only about one third of the volume of the tank. I felt sad of course too, but I didn't flush it down the toilet, I can't imagine doing that...

Well good luck to your new gold-fish again, hope you enjoy it and that it won't die on you again... Take care :)

I don't really have an online photo album and I don't like to display my pictures publicly on the Internet (I'm not very photogenic, btw) ... besides, I don't go party, so people on this website are most likely not likely to know me, heh...

Hmmm, but maybe I'll post something later if I feel like it...
