Hi,
I spent a while in Thailand attending the parties/raves there etc on my Round the world trip a few years ago.
Anywhere else in the world where i could go and let my hair down with a lot of travellers?
I'm not talking Ibiza/Aya Napa here...
Somewhere much less commercial (sif thats even possible nowadays?
I have heard of
1. Boom Festival
and the
2. TPE festival in Japan..
Any other places? Goa maybe? although Goa seems to be dying down a lot in the rave stakes. There has been a massive crackdown on raves there. I went in 1998 when there were still some major ones taking place..

I have seen people treat some of the beaches like crap. Rubbish here and there everywhere. Pissing in the sea etc..

| There are some crazy clubs here in Beijing, and I hear of the occasional rave night (one of which was housed in an old floor from the 798 Factory, which I wish I'd known about). I've also seen a fairly dance-oriented atmosphere that doesn't focus too much on the DJ. Granted, I haven't seen any big names. BT's coming to the Tang Club Saturday, though, so I'll see what that's like. |

| You might want to check out the scene in Mexico as well. About 5 or 6 years ago the underground psy parties in warehouses, fields and the desert were about as good as they come! I have a feeling its a lot more commercial right now but I expect some of the old clubs to have good parties nonetheless (pm me if you need good locations/hookups if your in Monterrey mexico). |
