I always believed the US and UK were really similar culturally, I guess it's no surprise. Well, Britain is now battling the same Puritanical demons as its cousin over the pond.
Today alone, in the UK Guardian: not one but 3 (!) commentaries on how teenage drinking is supposedly an "ill" and how the drinking age should be raised to 21 as in America.
All three towing the same prohibitionist line. What ON EARTH is going on in Britain? It would be a shame if it ended up just like the religious moralistic America.
