Oh yeah! But my first Blumchen song was Blaue Augen [youtube]. Loved those german raw electro techno sounds in her relatively "pop" songs. So many of my all time most sentimental tracks come from those couple years.

Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone on Channel 933 in San Diego. must've been 2001-2002. Somewhere in high school where kids dropped Mandy Moore and began breathing Vicks.

Ah... don't remember exactly, but some of my earliest tracks were Faithless - Insomnia, Sash - Ecuador, and the very first trance compilation was from the mid-90's called Trancentral 4: A Trip to Goa. That's what got me hooked!

I bought a Tape (yeah, tape) of her's and I wore it out! She was such rockstar back in those days! My buddy ended up steeling my tape because he loved her tracks so much. Later on in like 2003ish I heard a happy hard core track that was in english but it was her's! People were like this is a hot new track! I laughed... And they didnt believe me that this was like from 94-96!

I was actually very young when I first 'liked' dance music. The first track that hit my ears and I couldn't stop thinking about it for like a year after I heard it was: Bizarre Inc. - I'm Gonna Get You (Original Flavour Mix)

I was like 8-9 years old at the time and thought it was the greatest track ever.

Shortly followed by tracks like Rozella - Everybody's Free (To Feel Good), and Technotronic - Get Up / Pump Up The Jam.

Robin S - Show Me Love was a real winner in my book back then too.

Although, I was still far too young to really think about what I was listening to. So I really didn't realize that I was listening to house/techno/dance music at the time.

Then in '97 I heard Daft Punk - Around the World and became hooked on this music again.

The first 'Trance' track I ever heard was Lost Tribe - Gamemaster. Probably in early '00. Pretty much history from that point on...

Was rockin out in 1992 to the Utah Saints album "Something Good" with tracks like "What Can You Do for Me [Salt Lake Mix]", "Something Good [051 Mix]" and "Trance Atlantic Flight". When I was 6 years old.

It was around 1997 when I realized that I would always be a Techno-Junky. Think I was probably 9 or 10 at the time when I started to really get into it. Probably Prodigy - Firestarter/Smack My Bitch Up. Or if that doesn't count, Wildchild - Renegade Master (Fatboy Slim New Skool Mix) and maybe Orbital - Halcyon & on & on, around the same time.
Mmm: Orbital - Halcyon & on & on, still love playin that tune here and there. Think now the "& on & on" part finally makes sense. (10 years later)

Forget Power 106, it was all about MARS-FM!

yes!! I thought I was the only person that remembered it. I always hated crap on the radio and I was in heaven when I came out to los angeles and found mars103. I seriously couldn't ing believe it. Before that all I had to go on was those rave cd's you'de buy in that small 'electronic' section at the music store. Techno rave stuff like "Rave Til Dawn" or the "TechnoRave 3 - Technomania". My first real trance stuff was the complilations Trance Europe Express and Trance Europe Express 2. Unbelievable stuff. I still listen to them all the time and also put some of those songs in dj mixes and play them out. Speedy J, Cosmic Baby, Orbital, Spooky, System 7, Microglobe, Salt Tank, early Paul van Dyk, etc.. then came the mid 90's with all the oakenfold perfecto stuff along the lines of man with no name, utah saits, tenth chapter, inaura, misjah, grace, red jerry, juno reactor, also stuff from harthouse. In the late 90's all the great sasha & digweed northern exposure stuff, of course Oakenfolds Tranceport CD - unbelievable stuff.
