Stockholm Clubbing 23rd - 26th August

Hi guys,
A few friends are heading over to Stockholm from Thursday 23rd August - Sunday 26th August and was wondering if anyone could reccomend any clubnights/clubs to check out or any dj's that may be playing between these dates in Stockholm?

First of all... the club scene is practicly dead compare to many European cities... Okay there are many nightclubs but mostly with crap music or people who doesn't appreciate the music... But with the right amount of alcohol all places can be a fun place! There's no known DJ coming to Stockholm the weekend your visiting... come back the 15th of September when Carl Cox is coming :)
There's a very small club called Ambition...
E-mail your names and your on the guestlist = free entrance.
The club is upstairs with various DJs playing mostly trance...
Downstairs it's a regular club with crap music...

One minute party
This how the arranger describe it.
One Minute Party will present one minute of music history. A journey from soft to hard, from slow to fast. We are continuing the Finnish idea with a one minute rave that will last the complete 60 seconds of a minute.
Friday August 24th at 18:00 to 18:01 at Sergels torg, also know as
"Plattan" in Stockholm City.
Ultraform will present a specially made track and Reign PR will provide a mobile sound system. You just have to show up and party like never before, like if it was 1999 again. We want to surprise people in Stockholm and tourists but most importantly show the rest of the world what we're made of.
Some rules in order to maintain the element of surprise:
1) Act normal before the rave begins
2) Leave the area immediately after the music stops
Dance like youšve never danced before in the middle of the city.
We will show the world how we party.

A nightclub called "Sture Compagniet" is a pretty classy place, lots of rich kids and wannabees go there... tons of typical beautiful Swedish babes... 160 SEK entrance... often electro house.
Location of Sture Compagniet is "Stureplan"
Closes at 03:00
A place called F12 at "Fredsgatan 12" is an outdoor place.. pretty weird place since it's in a big stair and terrace... I've been there a couple of times and it's always been good music...
Last time I went there Adam Beyer & Marco Carola played back 2 back.. I didn't even know about this before...

Solidaritet is one of the best nightclubs with great DJs that play house, techno and dance... also close to Stureplan
Some weekends they invite big DJs... Stonebridge was the last one I know about...

How about club Esque?
Can highly recomend Özgur Can (tech, minimal, prog and maybe some weird stuff) and Dana Berquist (house).
Haven't been there myself yet but heard it's a pretty good club with some good sound. |

Might be because they just opened, it's the old Teatron... :-)
It's suposed to be one of the "biggest" clubs in Stockholm, not in size but what kind of DJ's that'll get booked. (Steve Angello will host his Size event there every month...) |
