You just know there's going to be a discussion in Toronto about panhandling again, following the murder on Queen Street (allegedly...but come on)at the hands of panhandlers. So the question here is not about whether it should be banned, but whether you give money out if asked.

I need some form of entertainment for me to give. However, I give to the United Way through payroll contributions, which helps with the big picture instead of one-on-one.

The way I see it....I am hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt right now....they should be giving my their spare change.

If you're able of mind and body to help yourself, then ing do it says I. I feel no duty/responsibility to people like that.
Whenever people ask me for change, I tell them "change comes from within".

I believe it is far more humane to deny them the money... if everyone were to do it they would be forced to find gainful employment or they would die... either fate is better then continuing as they do.
