I'm going to be ordering some club lighting/fx from AmericanDJ.com. Should be fun. :) I'm setting aside way more of a budget than anyone should for a house party, but oh well. I also hung some single-color Christmas lights in the kitchen (and accidentally busted one of the bulbs by opening a cabinet into it :mad: ).
I set up the speakers today to mess around with them, and there is a dead spot in the bass RIGHT in the middle of the "dance floor". Dammit, I hate that. I'm gonna mess with the speaker placement throughout this week and see if I can fix that. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

I never claimed it was... I'm just trying to throw a fun party. The local "names" are going to be playing, so it's not like I'm just doing it so I can be a 15-minute star.

Alright, it's a few months overdue, but here are the results of the party I threw. Massive success. ;)
We didn't get the cops until 2 AM...haha.

Thanks man... it was a great time. I didn't get an exact count but I suspect there were between 100-150 people there total. Great sound too; one of the DJs brought his big 15" Mackie (I think) monitor which we put at the top of the stairs, and another DJ brought his floor speakers with 4 12"s... it was a hell of a lot of sound for a house party.
It's too bad we don't live closer, I bet we could throw a hell of a party if we put our efforts together. :)
