I had a group of brit boys we met and drank w/ at a bar on college street were telling us emphatically that they think we say "" over here in North America WAY TOO MUCH lol...
they were amazed when they came over how often they'd hear the bloody word... and we'd use it in sentences were we didnt even need to... lol
his example he heard early that day:
Some canuk apparently told them that he was going to go and get some "ing" mcdonalds before they went out to the bars that night...
and the brits were like "some ING mcdonalds???" why the hell are you Emphasizing mcdonalds by saying 'ing' before it??? You're going to mcdonalds... who the hell cares. no need to intensify it w/ a 'ing' infront. lol
it was just funny, bc these english kids swore a lot... but their swearing didnt involve the word '' as constantly and friviously as our did... ;) |
