I can't think of any venue right now in LA where techno would sound better. Avalon is one of the last remaining dark & gritty clubs we have without going under-ground... |

I agree, the sound @ Avalon is impecable. I can't get into the music anywhere else as much as I do @ Avalon. |

The fact that it's so bare and desolate (smoking alley sucks) and theres not much else to see besides the terrace actually helps, cause it makes you stick to the main room. At Vanguard and other places I always end up spending so much time outside because the terrace is so nice :p I end up leaving without having heard more than 30 mins of the mainroom :o
Though when the music sucks at Avalon, theres no where to go, such as last weekend :/ |
