agreed to the extent of military interventions. Refugees on the other hand are a very touchy thing. It's hard to just let in a flood of refugees because the recieving country now has to keep track of foreigners. I think the best solution is to support the refugees wherever they are, but try to fix the problem crisis that started the exodus in the first place.

im not saying israel should bear the brunt of everything, just a little pissed that a nation who effectively had to steal their current land and whom won't let the holocaust ever be forgotten- do not seem to care much for those now in similar circumstances when they have the capacity to help them. |

I said Israel should accept the refugees. Send whatever aide is appropriate, but that's it. Accept some refugees, but definately can't let in a flood of refugees though. International pressure though has recently shown some promise with the Sudanese president saying he'll let in peacekeepers. |

Millions right? When you think about the big picture, it seems almost Shakespearean in tragedy.:nervous:
UNfortunately for many, Israel is not going anywhere. They will make concessions, but will never give in. I don't know how trying to wipe Israel off the map is going to fix the situation, because as history has shown, Israel don't get wiped off the map easily. |

One thing that's clear and what some here are ignoring is that these Sudanese refugees are not representing the evils and torture of the Sudanese regime. They escaped it, and by no means they condone it. The evidence against Egyptian security services is also appalling. Pkc for once is right, that Jewish state, its citizens once slaughtered by Nazis, now letting the same thing happen to helpless poor suffering people from Darfur ... its just utterly appalling and disgusting to me. |
