you see... i havent had a day job since november so im used to going to bed every day around 5-6am. my previous job had me start at noon so i didnt have to wake up early either.

and today i had to be in oakville (from markham). ugh.
i just started my electrician apprenticeship today. part time hours because my boss diesnt need another fulltimer yet). im just glad to have my foot in the door.

Congrats on the new job man! Can't be a silly sketchbag for the rest of our lives can we (or can we?)

I did that too, got a big boy job, no more club work for me.. just club play... the first 15mins of waking up sucks, but once i'm outta bed, showered and out the door, i'm kinda glad I am up and not wasting it away doing nothing, get a coffe, have a few smokes, get a solid day of work done, get home at a reasonable time, get stuff done at home, make a proper dinner, go for coffee or a few drinks with friends, actually feel tired come 11pm or midnight and not stay up all night till dawn on the internets (I still do kinda)... Yeah sure it's boring lol, but it has it's own rewards/high versus the usual sleep at 7am, wake up with the sunset vampire party all night routine...

But god damned do I miss it!

I work full time as a cook and some days are 7-3 or 9-5. I completely agree that it's sucks getting up that early, but once you're into the day or just finishing work, there is such a feeling of satisfaction knowing that you haven't wasted a day. I actually feel like a "normal" person.

Congrats on the job Jay. I'm sure the time you put in part time will pay off down the road, it usually does.

i have to leave the house at 5am to go to 12 hour shifts 2 or 3 days a week (night shifts on the days in between)... suck it up :tongue3

lol, oh man!
I've almost got up to get ready a couple times on the weekend, but I realized quickly it wasn't the right day.
That sucks!

yeah he said he is gonna start me off part time just so i have my foot in the door because he understands that it is a tough trade to get in to. depending on how i do a few months down the road he may offer me full time.
