the only real problem I can see with it is that he was on a taxpayer funded trip. I aint paying him to go get slaughtered and check out strippers until he pays me to.
However, theres absolutely no way I can vote for the Labor representative in my seat (and it has nothing to do with her being married to Graham Cornes) |

I dont think the strip club thing is going to hurt him so much as boost him. If there isnt a working class aussie pissed off with howard enough over IR laws etc, being able to identify with Rudd a bit more won't hurt.
I don't understand the big deal with it all (Rudd wanting to make an apology, to his wife, very public). I think hes just trying to present himself more human than howard. |

No you're not. You pay for him to get there and back, eat and do all the business related he does when he is working in the day time. What he does in the afternoon/night is his own business! When going on a work trip (anyone, politician, private industry, whatever) should you go straight from work to the hotel and hide in there for fear of "abusing" the fact you didn't pay to get there? Bollocks.
imo I don't give a toss about the incident, especially as (I read anyway) that the place is a popular hangout for diplomats and the like. Even further, it appears he wasn't particularly thrilled and left pretty fast anyway. Such a mountain out of a molehill event imo. |
