I hate Vegas Mashups as it is, but Scotty Boy plays the most horrific vegas mashups I have ever heard.
I don't get why even one person likes those types of mashups.
Can't stand his sets. |

most of the venues he ScottyBoy plays at want him to play that house/hip hop/R&B/rock mixture. he gets a ton of bookings for that but he really just wants to play house stuff. really nice guy - just kind of sucks that he's known for a music style that's not his 1st choice.... |

Thats his own fault dude. Seriously, if thats not what you wanna play out, don't play it, then you won't get booked for it. |

well for better or for worse that's the musical style he's booked for most of the time.
now if you see him at say the Spider Club or WMC - its all house he plays. |

I've only seen him once after-hours and it was all house (obviously). Liked his DUI CD he gave me. Had songs like The Creeps and Perfect Exceeder, Scream and Party all the time on it.
I do agree with Dave, in that I hate any kind of mashup! Hip-Hop, then rock then house one song after another???? How does someone get into the groove? What if someone doesn't like a song...which is what usually happens. They leave the dancefloor.
I kinda like doing the Vangard VIP room Friday nights because it does have something for everyone. There is hip-hop in the VIP room, mashups in the main room and some kind of house in the patio.
Plus they respect me and my crowd at the door which is at times hard to find in Hollywood!
So if any of you decide you want to go Friday night. Just drop my name @ Hollywood entrance door. Doors open @ 10. Everyone is free before 11! |
