This Saturday August 25th @ Cherry, we bring you with great anticipation some new fresh talent. Two D.J's that have distinguished themselves in their own respect, will be joining forces to ROCK YOUR WORLD!!!

Samer K and Nick Grimmer
Samer, of Syrian origin , has been living in Montreal for the past 4 years. Discovering his passion for music as a 12 year old boy, mixing songs with old equipment and audio cassettes his dad had. Discovering his real sound by playing different venues like Taro Sushi Bar, Mile End Bar and various private parties, where the music ranged from vocal trance to electro house. Dedicating his style and passion to house music, mainly influenced by the biggest names like David Morales and Danny Tenaglia .Samer is one of Montreal's underground music scene Dj's, understanding his crowd.

Nick Grimmer’s versatility in DJ'ing has given him the opportunity to play various gigs on a local and international level, ranging from warm opening sets to dark, twisted after-hours sets. Nick plays a wide variety of electronic music and often incorporates minimal, tech house, electro and breaks into his mixes. Young as he is, he has played in Cairo, Egypt ( where he was raised) as well as in Montreal, in such places like Velvet and many more...
With his use of effects processors and scratching in his sets, he is yet another underground Dj that has brought a a certain freshness to the scene. These two together will make for a musically interesting night.

Hey everyone hope you can come check the newest underground edm club in Montreal, Cherry Bar is a pretty ing cool venue with a spacious dance floor surrounded by booths, explore a little and u might end up in the back rooms ;) Tonight partiers are getting together @ Cherry Bar to drink, lounge, dance and just party, come join the fun!

| Ya that was a SICK! night, both played excellent. Nick Grimmer’s warm up set was perfectly paced, great sound overall. Samer K’s set was also excellent. Nick definitely rocked it even harder in the back rooms for the rest of the night, a bunch of people ended up staying there more then the main room, I left at 4 and party was still pumping with a crowd. Great party to be done again, I wanna hear Greg play there, soon! |

so ive been saying this for a couple weeks now...
best new club in montreal is definitely cherry. that classy underground feel to it just makes me wanna go back every week.
nick, man, loved ur tracks, mixing was tight, sry i had 2 leave so soon...other arrangements had to be met :)
can't wait to go back! |
