Church signs... only in the US

I've always wondered about those hilarious signs/billboards next to every church.

Something unique to the American culure, I guess.

A British couple traveling through the US were so shocked by these signs that they took pictures of some of the most hilarious ones.

Did anyone else notice that the signs come from all areas of the US... how long was their trip... and when did it become possible to drive to honolulu?

Not really unique to the US but no Catholic and few Anglican/Presbyterian churchs have sings (and the ones that do normally just post mass times), therefore, such a thing would be an extreme rareity in the UK.

I've seen them in Canada and a few other places. Most of the signs you see such as those pictured earlier are in front of the more evangelical churchs (baptist, evangelical luthern, pentecostal, reformed, etc).

WOW, really? Hmmmmmm ... we have like at least 6 Churches on here in Hamilton Mountain alone, LOL ... on the two main roads to my work / school. Maybe seven. Maybe Canadians are more religious than you guys are?
