all good points there ian :) ive always wondered why gerrard (my fave player) always seems so ordinary in the english team.
and yeah, neville is a useless ing tit. i scream at him in every game i see. i still cant believe he is in the squad regularly. haha- i even take him off the field when i play fifa 2007 on my PC :D neville, youre ! haha. |

:) Sports are where I come of age, I just can see behind blindness and such that is associated with most fans of either the big 4 clubs, or the 4 or 5 who think they're one of those big 4.
I'm a huge fan of gerrard. He's dynamic, and the Gascoigne/Robson of our era, with all the skills, the leadership and the basic work rate that we as fans adore. He needs to be played in the middle, even Benitez who has way more tactical nous than most falls into the trick of playing him out wide to accomodate Mascherano & Alonso in a team. you build a team around a core of players, a good keeper (Carson imo) 2 centre backs, Terry & Richards for me, a midfield general (Steve) and a strong forward like Rooney. Also I was schooled by a man, the manager of my dads team for many years, Brian Clough, who wasn't afraid to make those decisions. It's not about being popular as a manager, it's about winning at that level. |

We need a guy who plays on form & ability, not reputation, who isn't afraid to upset the prima-donnas and make some needed changes and who has the guts to go with what people think, not what the 'pundits' think. | Well, who exactly do you suggest? I havn't been too impressed by the English National Team in the last 3 years. Intersting observation is that the EPL and La Liga both have some top form clubs, yet their national teams seem to not do too well on the national level... |

Sam Allardyce.
However, I care way more about Newcastle than England, so England can right off with that suggestion. :toothless |

4-4-2
GK Carson
RB Onouha
CB Richards
CB Terry
LB Bridge
RM Beckham
CM Gerrard
CM Hargreaves
LM Joe Cole
FW Rooney
FW Owen
Subs from
ben foster (gk)
stephen taylor, Woodgate, Lescott, baines, matt taylor (df)
Wright-Phillips/Lennon/Carrick/Parker/milner/nolan/young/huddlestone (mf)
Walcott/Smith/Nugent/Ashton/Crouch/Johnson/Defoe/Bent (FW)
we don't need huge changes, just to rid the dead wood imo and the mentality. People are too comfortable knowing they'll be picked whatever form they're in. shake it up, give the youngsters a go and a guy who can motivate and be proactive not reactive in subs. |

international is different though. it's our pride as a nation. Club-wise, you can get people from all over the place, this brings together the best people from each country (or not depending if mclaren is your manager :p) |

I dont know, I'm an aussie by nationality but thai by heart:D
I dont really follow football unless it involves liverpool:)
Also, its a pity the likes of rio keeps on being ahead in the pecking order with the likes of carra. And gerrard should be captain of england,no question bout it. I dont see terry single handedly win chelsea trophies.
U have a pretty good line up, but i'd have wright phillips instead of beckham. |

Get out and walk Kraut in diguise
Ian dare stick up for Dyer his a waste!
Utter bollocks the whole entire game. We have McCarlen a clown at best, who plays some unfit mug earred scouse wanker up front along with a lazy northern lezzer.
The subject of the Lampard/Gerrard ordeal. Their are both obsessed with themselves Gerrard U must play centre midfield I'm not the holding midfielder and Lampard I must stay in opposite half and play a free role. It's a load of bollocks you should be proud of the shirt you wear and play wherever your put. They can both play togther they just don't notice it, if not there is plenty of players ready to fill their void.
Next subject Beckham. Keep in LA you attention seeking whore. I'm sick of the fact the whole entire England team for years had to revolve around you. Yes you can cross a decent ball but Michael Owen if hardly a Klo's or Koller when it comes to heading. Give it a year and Lennon will be playing your posotopn.
Defence. Terry should still stick around Richards is the king when it comes to Right Back, however Ferdinand is it me or is he utter e for England? The left back spot, Shorley had a big hand in German scoring with clearances. Ashley Cole is utter wank these days it's time to give Bridge more of chance.
Lastly England need to start juggling up formations apart from the typical 442 bollocks it's getting a little bit predictable, footballers of international level should be able to chop, change and play in different formations. |

| This game was kinda lame...Germany could only make up with a team of youngsters because of all the injured team mates and England wasn't able to score. |
