I haven't seen Sasha since 2005 but I must say... seeing him Friday in NY was absolutely nuts.
There was this song he played that I really really loved. It kinda had a breaks feel to it. Need to check out some recent sets so I can ID it.
As for those of you complaining about epicness... Give me a break.
Sasha's set was dark and sexy! I think his sound is great for a HUGE DARK main room.
Won't be able to picture those tunes on the patio though.
Zak you gotta hook it up with a recent set. I need to know the name of that song! :crazy: |

I've seen Sasha many times and he has never delivered what he did on Saturday.
Mansion was beautiful!!
I've been to that club many times and never has the crowd been that good.Partly do to the fact that everyone of those VIP assclowns were at Cameo for Sanchez.My girl and i are friends with one of the manager's and he said that Mansion will now begin to become more of a danceclub than a VIP/bottle service crowd.He also said that they have relied in the past on the VIP crowd as being 60 percent of there overall income.Now that they have that steady VIP clientel they feel that they can take more risks musically and financially.Meaning that they will urge the dj's from now on to be themselves apposed to the more commercial sound that i for one and others have ragged on Mansion for in the past.I noticed that Sasha didn't spin anything that could be remotly concidered commercial.As far as the table situation they took out 10-20% of there tables and will do so for the EDM dj's that they book in the future.
The music, the party and the look of the club were perfect.It's safe to say that the compitition between Mansion and Cameo is great for business and is good for EDM overall.

I am to out of my head still to write anything with intelligent substance but...
Sasha- best set hes spun solo, no words, played like how he became sasha in the first place. (mel i have all his sets as of late, he played alot of the same tracks like he did in ny, ill get em to u on msn or something)
after going to the terrace for sanchez with two many bottles and everything else,(he kinda sucked, lol), Sander last nite, which i cant even begin to describe what happened there,(zakdog u know cause i talked to u, but its too long and nsfw for sure! lol)
a great ing weekend, Sasha takes the cake, he is a musical genius, others may through better parties but if u wanna get schooled on set composition then thats where its at. But i digress...and need to watch football.

Three was a great opener up here!!! DIdn't see Spooky as he went on after Sasha!!
I've got the EM @ work but it's hard to listen without headphones. I need to buy some for work so I can really listen to it. ;\. |

we have three this friday, then DT @ suite on sat.
and one more for the the tl, pretty obvious, but awesome,
underworld-crocodile! Spooky played it early in the nite (oliver huntman's rmx) and Sasha dropped the original about the middle of his set, but was doing all sorts of on ableton with layers and effects, it was sick, they blew the nitrous for that and then it was on from that point!
oh yah and get his dance dept from 9/23 and hardwired set 10/1, many of those tracks were played.

Sasha's intro was Supermayer-two fo us, he used the chimey part of the track and then played the whole track later in the set. Crazy he does. |

i remember that bell sounding song. he also opened with that here.
Funny you say that because I thought he either played it twice or there was another bell-type song playing. |
