From the late 80s acid house years to the ground breaking early 90s big trance wave. Martin Freeland aka Man With No Name have been there from the start and some say the reason why Oakie started spinning goa trance. Even today I can't think of many trance producers which can compete with the sheer amount of quality productions as MWNN. And going back to his early stuff from Dragonfly is like if time stood still. And his Moment of Truth album is still in my top 5. It's the kind of tunes you could listen to in many years and still loose your breath. He is also a really shy guy. Rarely appearing in interviews. Not much is actually known about him.
I own the teleportation album and many other releases. Hands down one of the best EDM producers to walk this earth.

MWNN is a true legend in trance. He is one of the first important trance producers i got exposed and later addicted to. I will always think of him as the best. He has put out so many brilliant productions and remixes over the years, always with his unique sound and characteristic style, the MWNN-sound. He has been an artist ahead of his time, many of his productions from the early/mid 90s sound like they could have been made today. And he is truly underground, especially given the amount of important music he is responsible for. He doesn't have a website (except for a promotional thing for Interstate Highway, 2003), you don't see much of him and like Rebel9 said not much is known about him.
I didn't get what the 20 year tribute is about however. :conf:

Love that Way Out West Track, but the B side is just as good. Everyone seems to forget about it.

whats he up to nowadays ?
Project-K
Quality producer. He's up there with Berry and Lieb in my books.

Definitely Martin Freeland is an innovator. His Teleport got me into goa trance, and subsequently psytrance. Too bad he had to lose his touch after 2001 ... but in the 1990s he was the undisputed king of goa trance.
Googooly
loved the last video(live), whats the name of the track?

funnily enough i was listening to art of trance - octopus (MWNN Rmx) when I saw this thread. Definitely a great producer, and while his newer stuff hasn't been as good, he's up there with the alltime greats

Not completely, there were some good tracks on Interstate Highway, and listen to Critical Mass from 2005.

take a second listen to his Interstate Highway album. Most people who listened to it were prepared to hear something along the line of Teleport and the stuff from Moment of Truth. But its much deeper and tracks such as Axis Flip, Reincarnation and Pipeline are savage.
