Anyone using the Korg KP3?

I'm thinking about buying one from the local music shop for $380. Anyone else here using one? And if so, what do you think of it? Is it worth the money?
I'd be hooking it up to a Behringer DJX700, which is hooked up to my Denon DNS3500s and Technics MK3's (four decks total). |

| I've used one before. They're pretty fun to play with but, IMO, sound cheesy as hell. If you're looking for an effects processor, you might want to check out the EFX-500/1000 as an altrenative. |

Is it worth all the extra money to get the efx - 1000 over the 500? |

Not that it SHOULD matter, but the EFX-500 is OLLLLLD. Like 1998! 9 years later and they still sell them... big difference is the sound and build quality. Vastly improved on the 1000, but you pay for it.
I used to own a KP2... it ended up not getting used much with my mixing style. The KP3 looks much better with it's sampler upgrades, but I'm not sure I would personally use the effects anymore than I did on the KP2. The do tend to sound cheesy, but used in the right hands can work well. |

Thanks alot, since im only using it at home, and at parites every couple months, i think im going to get the 500 ;) |
