i agree that some people are a bit irrational when it comes to judging people from what they say online... i'm sure we can all think of people who are good friends and decent human beings, who would come across as complete tools if you only knew them online |

Hell yes I would. Of course I don't want to be friends with the person who's getting high every weekend and blabbing about it on a message board. I don't give a how nice or kind hearted they are.
I live a certain kind of life, and have certain expectations of myself, and I have near the same expectations of the people I want in my life. Birds of a feather flock together. |

I would certainly consider it in my overall decision making, yes. The way one presents themselves in this forum is just as valid as they way they present themself in person. The persona one chooses to display is a reflection of who they are... a characture if you will that excentuates certain areas of their personality while covering up others.... what you choose to show the world through a published media can tell a lot about you. |

Meh, let them. It makes it a lot easier to determine who can have fun both on and off something, and if they want to label themselves like that it'll be their loss in the end. |

I agree. Someone who is coming on this site to spew about being all ed up on the weekend is someone that I would avoid.
I thinking my arguement was getting too broad. I was extending it to cool people who make posts that come off as being kind of stupid. |
