I understand it may be a matter of concern that the show is getting pushed forward a day, but Opera _is_ serious about dance music. Their recent bookings are proof of it. It was awesome that they were able to bring in Oscar G, even though it wasn't the most lucrative event for them. As far as how they do business, thats their issue-- anyone can bid on these DJs. Next time they may be more inclined to go with Liquified or something, but I doubt that would deter them from coming to Atlanta. |
Opera is NOT serious about dance music! That's one reason Rachael is leaving. And to be honest... I'm glad Liquified moved their shows to WetBar. The vibe over there is INCREDIBLE!
I still <3 Opera in a way though.
edit and the date change means I can't go. |

I really don't think they are serious about dance music at all....There have been 2 shows there - Ferry and Oscar G - since the entire opening. And the only reason they are letting them come is because it is a weekday and even then they are pushing them back to the beginning of the week...A&B pushed from Thurs to Wed and Armin on a Tuesday....If you are "serious" about dance music, you bring a big act on the weekend and expose them to everyone...No, it's because they don't have anything else going on during the week and damned Tuesday liquor sales sure would be nice now wouldn't they?? | its the weekend mate, they got better places to be other than atlanta.
anyhow when did oscar g come? :o
i would of probably gone to that show, me loves oscar g |

I totally agree... Ever since they opened the crowd they have been trying to cater to has shifted. E50 usually used to bring big Djs on the weekdays anyway before though that's still the same. The crowd at wetbar is definitely better though everyone is so much friendlier. |
