ok can i just say that this wharehouse has to be the sickest fckin venue i've ever been to!!!!! what an insane night of fun and music. THOSE THAT DIDN'T GO MISSED THE FCK OUT!!!
josh and mike wtf???? you guys should have been there. we get there around 2 am after going to funxion. we aren't sure if we are at the right spot and then we roll the window down and here music and then of course, see a couple of crackheads roaming the streets and then we were like, oh yeah, we're here. ruben kept texting me all night telling me how sick this place was and to hurry and get my ass down there and man am i so glad i did!!!
we get inside, get on the dance floor and perfecting timing, vibrasphere is behind the decks. he starts off kinda slow, a little too progressive for me and then about 4 tracks in, i see where he's going and sit back and enjoy the ride!!!! and man what a ride he took us on. it was insane. about 45 minutes into his set it just got sick, i danced my ass off!!!! he was really very good. i enjoyed every minute of it and it seems so did he!!! i'm so glas ruben that you talked me into going to this party. the sound was even decent in there. the people were interesting, you know, the underground kinda way, so it was cool, no hollywood, LA attitude or bull. just a bunch of peeps loving the music and vibing off each other.
loved dancing with cristine (crischill) and poor julie, holding up the wall for almost 2 hours. and of course dancing with ruben, katie and refuge is always fun. great seeing you there JC and lol, you were drunk!!! and thanks for the kind words, you are pretty fckin awsome yourself, if you remember our convo??? it's nice to break the norm and do something different and that was so worth the drive, which wasn't that bad and leaving all our friends at funxion to go to.
and then, my God the dj after vibrasphere, trevor, my fckin God, i danced even harder, every track was just hard core banging on the edge psytrance and progressive sick bass line i could ever hope for!!! i danced even harder to his set than vibrasphere's!!! he was adorable too, this small little guy with an 80's hair style, think new wave, and so serious but man, what a set!!!!!! i hope someone brings him back out again. i shoulda gotten his myspace/email/whatever to see when he's spinning again. JC, do you know anything about him????? he was just incredible.
ok, so it's obvious i had fun. we left around 5:40, julie and i to my place to chill and catch some sleep but i'm back up, b/c i can never sleep on the weekends. see some of you at howells tonight. |

Vibrasphere - Morning Breeze - teh win! :toothless Vibrasphere was the best part of the night - hands down. Trevor was good, but he was going too full-on and it got repetitive. Vibrasphere was the perfect blend of everything trance, psy, and progressive. Very good! Did I mention the rooftop balcony with the amazing view of DT? That was nice. Also, the backroom had some good music going there-- I heard everything from dub, psychill, techno, and all other kinds of weird worldish stuff. I'm used to this underground vibe from all the techno events I've been to and man all I can say is these are the crowds that need to be at Avalon and Vanguard -- the true music heads! Vibrasphere played from 2:20am to 3:50am, so a solid 1 hr & a half of him playing his productions. His mixing and programming were spot on too.
Great night!

LA got a better show and way better openers cause his gig in SF was boring (nice intro though) :whip: blaming the 4 openers before Vibrasphere for banging it out and the slot time for Vibrasphere  good thing i went in for free w/ my friend who was DJing in a different room :)
