The U.S. Open is here again ppl! That time of the year...
Who's watching???
The match tonight between Roddick and his good good buddy Gimelstob...
LEGENDARY. Serious, this match was probably the most entertaining, most fun match I've ever held in all my long years of tennis watching history.
The banter on court, the competition, the "air" in the air, just WOW.
Whoever loves tennis but didnt get a chance to watch this match seriously missed out. It was so good!
If I could go out now and buy just this match on DVD for $30 I would. Excellent. |

Watched most of the first set and part of the 3rd.
Definitely entertaining, especially the interviewing part afterwards! lol
Great stuff.
Hanutchova didn't advance :( fairly dissapointed with that.
Looks like Sharapova has a nice change of winning this thing again. She's definitely got the easiest section to make it to the finals! There should be some good 3rd & 4th round matches! can't wait.
oh, and I'm glad they have the US open on TSN in HD! I can't believe how much nicer everything looks! |

| now that I don't play tennis anymore I've lost my interest in watching it.....especially men's tennis....its boring...at least with the women's tennis there are actual rallies. |

Should have watched last night! On Roddicks serve, yeah, no rallies... Ace Ace Ace Ace! Or every single serve was almost unreturnable.
But on his opponents serve, Gimelstob, wow!
I've never seen so much serve and volleying in my life, not since sampras.
Gimelstob is one of the few TRUE serve and volleyers and it was AMAZING to watch for 3 sets... 75-80% of his serve, he would come to net afterwards. Just awesome. :) |

Dancevic got beat by Safin. He had set point opportunities in all 3 sets but he just tensed up every time!
He is a very promising talent and Canadian too! |

Yea honestly eh?! It's ridiculous. He generates so much torque from his core, and he has a very strong core. |

Well, last night he was back on his game. He hasnt been that impressive this year... well, living up to his full potential I mean.
Hasnt been a great year for him... last night he was serving with 75% of his first serves in, which is INSANE with how hard he was hitting them...
but he hasnt been getting 75% his serves in all year. He is really just playing the kind of tennis at hte open that he SHOULD be playing yearround, IMO. |
