here is the final outcome of my attempt to remix 'tracking treasure down'.
the rmx is a harder trance track with vangard presents and techno loops. please dont bash the presents, i just couldnt be bothered to work on it anymore, so finished it as best i could. though i do like some of the presents on vangard, and vangard as a synth, it has made the rmx sound very typical.

Listening..
Is that a guiro coupled with a clap/snare? cool idea.
Is it me or is the kick being weirdly compressed every so often?
Nice melody in the break, not too keen on the instrument.
Decent remix.

hey man.
thanks for the review.
the dagga-dah is a loop that is then sidechained to the kickdrum. this left some room for the snare. and gave quite a nice effect.
this could be what you mean because it sounds like more of the track is compressed.
also, i have a rolling low level 'booom-boom,boom' underneath every kick which gives that weired effect. it weired because i asked the same question about someones track on here having 'the kick being compressed every so often' about 2 years ago. i learned the technique from dj palm if i remember corrently..
thanks again kre8 |

Hey Richie
Nice kick you got here...bassline works well too. I like the oldschool synth too, works well with the vocals...although it does get a little high pitched at times...overall a good remix, didn't sound that vanguardy to me either... |

thanks rickser.
im glad it isnt sounding too vangardy. though most of the sounds are presets from it(with slight tweeks). |
