China regulates Reincarnation

Seriously, this is getting outta hand.

quote:
In one of history's more absurd acts of totalitarianism, China has banned Buddhist monks in Tibet from reincarnating without government permission. According to a statement issued by the State Administration for Religious Affairs, the law, which goes into effect next month and strictly stipulates the procedures by which one is to reincarnate, is "an important move to institutionalize management of reincarnation."

What next ? :haha:

Do you guys think China believes in re-incarnation of Tibetan monks?

Its all politics.. they have stopped the political hierarchy in Tibetan society by banning these monks reincarnation.. as they are nothing but handing down of political power from one generation of monk to another generation in Tibet.

This is not a ploy to control religion, but to control Tibetan politics.

Oh the occupied regions.... I would really like Tibet to be independent, just to see the mess that they would be in. Not everyone can be monks, and while monks would be happy living in a resource-less Tibet, I'm sure most Tibetans wouldn't mind staying with China's powerful economy in order to keep eating. After all the sole reason Tibetans have any bit of progress/industry/economy is because their part of China, nothing else.

Indeed. WHAT NEXT?

Well, here are a few ideas of things previously put into law, to give you a better guess at WHAT NEXT... enjoy.

1. In NJ, it is illegal to raise chickens in bottles.

2. In Michigan, it is illegal to kill a dog using a decompression chamber.

3. In New York, citizens may not greet each other by "putting one's thumb to the nose and wiggling the fingers."
also
4. The penalty for jumping off of a building is death.

5. In Alaska, it is illegal to push a live moose out of an airplane.

6. In Nevada, it's still legal to hang someone if they shoot your dog.

7. In Texas, criminals are required by law to give written or oral notice to their victims 24 hours in advance detailing the nature of the crime.

8. In Florida, if you tie your Elephant to a parking meter, you must pay the fee just as you would for a motor vehicle.

yup, crazy communists... WHAT NEXT?!?!

At the expense of losing their own culture, ancient thousand-years lifestyles, freedoms, religous practises??? LOL ... NO THANKS! They're not gaining much, other than being assimilated into a brutal Chinese system that will probably one day collapse like Soviet Union did.
