Ages ago when I was growing up in Sydney I used to know this boy at high school who's dad was really into Jags, he had about a half a dozen of the things. They where quite nice to travel in, looked pretty and very comfy.
But they broke down. All the time
So every year, sometimes twice a year at easter and christmas the dad would load up the kids, wife and luggage in the Jag and proudly announce "We're going to the Gold Coast for a holiday!"
(Which is roughly where Sushi lives)
And they'd start driving.
The worst they did from North Sydney was make it to the freeway (about 20km) and the best they did was make it to Coffs Harbour (about 5-6hours) before the Jag broke down and stranded them out in the middle of nowhere. They did this every year, without fail for as long as my friend could remember, but they never did make it to the Gold Coast. |
