Ok, so i've only been back in chicago a few months now...anyone have the word on when SAnDER VAN DoorN will be bACK to vision? I caught him at WMC this year at Karu-Y in Miami...and he is one HELL of a DJ!! I think he'd just rip the roof right off that place. What are everyone else's thoughts on this guy??

BTW....since being back i've noticed that i really don't have many friends that are interested in hitting up the clubs anymore. So....i'd love to meet some fellow TA's who share the love for the music.
gimmebeatz
i cant tell u when he'll be in chicago...but i to was at Karu-Y for that set and holy hell did he rip that place apart! what a in event that was..looking forward to seein him again

He has incredible skills...just too bad the turnout was so poor. BUT---TIESTO at 7am was a nice surprise huh?? Icing on the cake! probably the best trance line-up in one place in a LONG time....glad we were a part of it huh??? BTW i heard Karu-Y is going under or being sold....also sad.

i think he sucks and brings nothing original to the table, but rest assured that due to legions of devoted fans such as yourself he will probably be back around early next year in chicago

p.s. miamilawdj, you're from latvia?

he rocks, seeing him tonight @ Labour of Love @ Guvernment along with Tenaglia, Armin, 16B, and Blake.. :clown:

he's more tech-trance...but a welcome change imo....always wanted to check out Guvernment....heard it's a great club. Space Miami though--i'll always have good memories of shows there. Sucks Chicago doesn't have a place that compares. I am latvian, but it's my father who's from there. I pay homage...and to be honest....i've never met another latvian face to face so i have to represent a bit you know??!! haha. Planning on heading there this next summer to connect with relatives for the first time. Howa bout you??? From there?? When you come over??
Yuris
I was born there in 1980 and lived there until 1991 then emigrated to Chicago.

nice! Well i've heard many good things about Latvia of late. We lost all of our land due to the fact that we did not travel over to "claim" it after the fall of the Soviet Union...but i'm interested b/c in the last couple of years i've learned we have some relatives over there that i never knew about. Excited to check it out. Going to go to Stockholm then take a boat to Latvia. Although we disagree about SVD, maybe we'll meet up at another show sometime. My next time out is either Rank 1 or Steve Lawler (gf has me on lockdown! haha)

who is SAnDER VAN DoorN?

Be careful about those ferry trips between Baltics and Scandinavia - normally they are nothing more than booze fueled cruises (literally). There have been several instances of ferry accidents and collisions in the last couple of years, most involving a loss of life.

The biggest one was about 10 years ago i think with 900 people or so drowning in one incident. As I recall, that one was going from Estonia to Stockholm.

Also be really careful in over there cause you can never trust a Latvian. They are extremely tricky and I hear if you listen to their drunken song they can capture your soul in a blue cage.

Guvernment is ridiculous..
