Sir first off don't try and pull the typical liberal move with me and answer a question with a question. |
Hmm, how strange of me not to realize this was a "liberal move" of sorts. Perhaps you could demonstrate with evidence how liberals somehow own this "move"?
| quote: | | And how is it any of your business of what i agree with savage about. It's not. |
Ummm, because you stated:
| quote: | | I do about 98% of the time. |
Which is subject to anyone posting to ask you to clarify your generalization further.
| quote: | | Why don't you tell us what you don't agree with about Dr savage? |
Because the onus of this argument is not originated with my reply. I needed your clarification on the details on what you agree with before I make any coherent answer, especially since I don't listen to Michael Savage. You do realize it's difficult to agree or disagree with someone whom you never listen to, right? Hence my point.
| quote: | But ok
1.I think liberalism is a mental disorder-you |
That's awful neighborly of you. Perhaps you can once again clarify why you think liberalism is a mental disorder (with me included). Can you be specific as to why?
| quote: | | 2.I want all illegal immigrants to go home. |
I want a million ice-cream sandwiches, but neither of our wants are terribly realistic now, are they? How would you propose your want is somehow more realistic to accomplish?
| quote: | | 3.I am for borders language & culture. |
A bit of a generalization, but in general I would agree.
| quote: | | 4.I don't think islam is a peaceful religion. |
All of Islam in general, or just particular factions? Again some clarification is in order.
| quote: | | 5.I am pro family,military,religion,law enforcement. |
Again a pretty generalization, but I would argue that I am all of these as well.
| quote: | | 6.I think liberals like you r brainwashed. |
It's a bit odd and ironic when someone who agrees with what I have heard as an uberConservative shock-jock tends to call out someone whom he's never met a brainwashed individual. You're speaking volumes about yourself, albeit unintentially.
| quote: | | I could go on and on. |
I think you need to clarify a bit more about your positions above, and be a bit careful about your hasty generalizations and conclusions on others.
| quote: | | SO now Mr sir i will give you a chance to take back you'r stupidity and tell us why you dance with the devil? |
Sorry, sir, I don't dance. Furthermore, I have little time depicting an all incumbent evil being that has no positive, verifiable, and falsifiable evidence of its existence. I hope you can understand, but it matters so very little to me if you do not. |

Again, could you be a bit more specific on particulars, please? You've mentioned a few categories previously, but they were so general it's difficult to decifer exactly what your position is specifically.
So could you help/humor us a bit more and discuss your positions more specifically? |

You have to understand something. It's highly probable that I will disagree with you on a number of issues. But I am more than willing to hear your viewpoints provided that you actually give them and cease with the flaming and name calling.
I'm trying to help you keep from getting banned or suspended, so please work with me here. Cut down the branding and the ad hominem attacks and stick to the debate. Now again, please give me specifics on the general positions you outlined previously. |

I would like to unlock the chains around the liberal mind. Whether you know it or not as a liberal you are a prisoner For too long you have lived in a cage where liberal ideas and only liberal ideas are expressed. It's entirely possible that you never meet or listen to anybody outside of your small circle of liberal thinkers. And if there is a dissenting opinion raised which is very rare in your cloistered environments the person offering the opinion is laughed at as being eccentric throwback to a more primitive time.In the end your tolerance of the intolerable is actually a reflection of your loss of clarity your tolerance of virtually everything and your anything goes attitude is not a mark of liberalism it's a mark of the DEGENERATION OF YOUR ABILITY TO JUDGE ANYTHING.

Speaking of being brainwashed, I have a book that you might be interested in reading. It's called "The Authoritarians," By Dr. Bob Altemeyer. You can attain a free reading here:
http://members.shaw.ca/jeanaltemeye...horitarians.pdf
One of the better passages is on page 75, and it seems rather fitting:
| quote: | first and foremost, followers have mainly copied the beliefs of the authorities in their lives. They have not developed and thought through their ideas as much as most people have. Thus almost anything can be found in their heads if their authorities put it there, even stuff that contradicts other stuff. A filing cabinet or a computer can store quite inconsistent notions and never lose a minute of sleep over their contradiction. Similarly a high RWA (Right Wing Authoritarian) can have all sorts of illogical, self-contradictory, and widely refuted ideas rattling around in various boxes in his brain, and never notice it.
So can everybody, of course, and my wife loves to catch inconsistencies in my reasoning when we’re having a friendly discussion about one of my personal failures. But research reveals that authoritarian followers drive through life under the influence
of impaired thinking a lot more than most people do, exhibiting sloppy reasoning, highly compartmentalized beliefs, double standards, hypocrisy, self-blindness, a profound ethnocentrism, and--to top it all off--a ferocious dogmatism that makes it unlikely anyone could ever change their minds with evidence or logic. |
Thoughts? |

Well that's what we're all here for - everyone has a voice to demonstrate and support their opinions with evidence.
How long shall we be waiting for you to do so?
| quote: | | Whether you know it or not as a liberal you are a prisoner |
Darn. And all this time I thought I've lived the good life. I guess I need to be in lockstep with a good, solid ultra-right wing Conservative AM radio shock jock in order to be "free" then?
| quote: | | For too long you have lived in a cage where liberal ideas and only liberal ideas are expressed. |
Don't look now, champ, but you're talking to a former Republican from Kansas. Methinks you're beginning to talk a bit from your backside.
| quote: | | It's entirely possible that you never meet or listen to anybody outside of your small circle of liberal thinkers. |
It's entirely possible that you humped the neighbors dog, but since we're both speculating it's difficult to know with certainty, isn't it?

I'm just curious, but you wouldn't happen to be reading from a Michael Savage transcript, would you?

Almost sounds like an old Iron Maiden song, doesn't it?
Gave up all recreational drugs and alcohol long ago, champ. I've seen enough idiocy with my soon to be profession in the hospital as a student physical therapist to know how destructive it can be. How about you?
Again it would do you credit to cut down the hasty generalizations, especially when you're proven quite incorrect such as above.
Given your recalcitrant, childish answers thus far, one would conclude that you are not well qualified to tell others this.

i doubt you could even give us a definition of what liberalism is you ignorant redneck. |
One thing you should understand, "Liberalism is a mental disorder," is probably the most famous quote made by Michael Savage. In fact I believe the first political book he wrote had that as the title. I totally disagree with this saying, especially since he uses it too often to dismiss many ideas and actions his liberal counterparts make. To Savage, liberals are everything that is wrong in the world. They are the Red Diaper Doper Babies who wish to install a Communist regime in the US, they are the greedy lawyers who suck the system dry winning many frivolous lawsuits, they are the sympathisizers of Islam, the ones who support open borders and amnesty, and the homosexual movement pushing for gay marriage. They are anyone who threatens the sovereignty of America and must either be imprisoned or thrown out of the country. Yes, Savage can be a total right-wing nut often enough, but when he's not going into fanatical tirades of the Left, there are other times when him and his cynicism, makes perfect sense. |
