Yeah I was right in front of him when he said that, cause he lowered the booth to floor level and people kept taking pictures of him and he was posing for them and everything but he looked a little annoyed. Then he said something along the lines of "Hello Toronto!! I have a request to make, can you guys stop being ing paparazzi and start dancing, I'll take pictures with you guys after I'm done." |

| well he plays in NYC every few months, people haven't seen him here in 2 years, thats why everyone is so desperate to get a picture of him |

I don't like how Dj's have turned into celebrities with people just standing around snapping pics, but damn...he sounds like a huge for saying like that during a set. I"m surprised people didn't just say "STFU and spin".:D |

Why? He obviously came to spin and see people dance and have a blast to his set, not have them stand around and take pics like ing tourists.
He just wants to see the crowd bouncing and having a good time to the tunes rather than try to get a million pics of him. |

Or he could just accept that this is just the way it is now like most other Dj's? Armin, Tiesto and PvD gigs these days are probably worse than anything Tenaglia sees. It's kind of funny that he said that actually...but I wasn't there. Did he really just get on the mic in the middle of his set and say that?
It comes off as a little condescending since I always liked to get some good pics...and that meant getting up close, snapping a few and then back to dancing. I have seen other prominent members on this forum doing the same as well. There's nothing wrong with getting pics as long as that's not all you do. I never understood the "Pilon Starers" either but if that's what they have paid to come and do, not much you can do about it right? |

This was around 6.30 in the morning after he had already been spinning for 5.30 hours!
He was pretty good as he actually was posing and even looked into the cameras while people were taking pictures directly infront of him. |

heres how i see it....
the dj is getting paid to play music. i am getting paid to take pics to cover the event. let me do my job and he can do his. armin didnt tell me that i couldnt take pics of him when i was on the stage. |

thats what i figured cuz i saw him at the bbq on saturday.
the reason why im asking is because i saw him on the skybar stage and asked him who he works for. he paused and said "armin" then sorta walked away to avoid any further interrogation. im just wondering if i was lied to because im pretty sure he doesnt work for any club-related site and there have been a few people asking me where his pics go. |

His name is Peter, Jay. "fotoaddict" on TA, and yeah, hes an NYTA
You should be able to find his pic at www.peterdrier.com as far as i know... |
