Saw this on the Music Discussion, just wonder who you guys are voting or any predictions or top 3 or surpises this year. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say Deadmau5 will probably be the biggest new comer.

DJmag's Top 100 is firing all cylinders
The Top 100 DJs poll is on course for another record breaking year. Two weeks in since voting started and we're on target to eclipse last year's staggering vote count of 217,000, as DJs around the world campaign for YOUR vital vote. Remember, this is the only real dance music poll that matters because it is voted for by YOU - the people on the dancefloor; the people that matter most.
While most people play fair and we have no problem with DJs canvassing for your votes, we've been staggered by the lengths some will go to in a desperate bid to gain a coveted spot in the Top 100 poll. But be warned - we always catch cheats. Already this year we've disqualified a few poll wannabes whom we may well 'name and shame' once voting is over.
Others have simply engaged in comical canvassing, which has had us in stitches. And we'll be highlighting the funniest campaigns in DJmag soon.
With just under a month to go before voting closes on Tuesday 25th September, we're on the edge of our seats to see what the Top 100 DJs throws up over the coming weeks. There's never a dull moment!
If you haven't yet voted, log onto djmag.com now and vote for your Top 5 DJs - those jocks who have truly rocked your world over the past 12 months, be it at a club, festival or your front room! Vote wisely as the shape of the Top 100 DJs Poll 2007 lies in your hands.
The Top 100 DJs Winners Party, on Wednesday 24th October, is shaping up to be our biggest event yet. More details to follow soon. All you need to do right now is book the following day off work!

I wouldn't say that....all opinion polls are valuable....it gives the market place an idea of what is hot. This poll holds more value then most opinion polls in my opinion. This gives a world wide snap shot of which DJs are hot, which ones are up and comers and which ones are falling off the beaten track. This is good for the DJs that are falling off the rankings as its a sign that maybe they need to change things up or do something the keep their career going....remember, for the DJs this is a career and not just some hobby they do in their basements. |
