I searched for a thread, but couldn't find one, so I'm starting one.

Festival season is upon us again....I thought i'd start this thread for everyone to post up their wishlist, experience, trials, tribulations, movie reviews etc. etc. etc.

I've already had the chance to see a couple festival films so here's my reviews:

No Country For Old Men: AMAZING! Javier Barden easily dwarfed the rest of the cast by giving an awesome performance. Some people say they don't like this film because of the lack of background music....Which ironically, happens to be the reason why I loved it. In reality, if a killer were stalking you, there'd be no background music, but it would still be scary as hell! Why would a movie be any different? Perhaps the people that hated the "quiet" feel lacked imagination. Two thumbs up for me.

Rendition: I thought this was good....Not great. Maybe I'm jaded in the sense that watching one too many anti-terrorist films make them all seem so similar. Lots of drama, but nothing that really makes an impression.

I have very little interest in the Film Festival nowadays. I use to go all the time but either the films have just gotten worse or I have lost my love for films.....or a combination of both. Maybe I will check out a couple this year.

With pretty much everything in this world that you could have an opinion about, your tastes become more refined the more you're subjected to it.

I've spent my entire life watching every episode of every sitcome as humanly possible....And as such, I don't find things funny anymore. People tell me I have no soul. I predict that by the time I'm 60 i'll pretty much hate everyone and everything.

I'm not too hyped about any movies in the festival this year either. For me, it's more about the festival as a whole, and not just the movies. I do some publicity for the Festival, so the movies only represent 25% of the things that go on during those 10 days.

I saw an awesome Hong Kong Blood Opera style action movie at last year's film festival, I can't remember what it was called though!
