... pics please!!!

and how was it??

I don't have any pics but it was amazing, biggest year yet. Trance was represented big time with multiple sets by Oakie and Gabriel & Dresden including a blow out sunrise set at the Opulent Temple. There were good sets by Dylan Rhymes, Lee Coombs,a nd Uberzone as well. Fort Knox 5 kept the break beats flowing andKJ Sawka delivered some killer d 'n b. But really, the music was just a bonus.

Were you AT the Gabriel and Dresden sunrise set at Opulent Temple?? Cause it wasn't G & D up there, it was DJ Dan.

Anyone know what happened to G & D?

I was there and assumed it was G&D, I wasn't in any condition to physically see the DJs much less decipher who it was. It was, however, a great ing set as I stated. Like I said though, my favorite set was by a minimal techno artist at the Pink Mamoth one afternoon. No idea who it was, but they sure could give Hawtin a run for his money.

Burning Man was great, although I was a little upset that G&D didn't show. Highlights, music-wise for me were -

Breaks party at Opulent Temple w/ Bassnectar, Lee Coombs, and Uberzone. Especially Coombs, he was throwing rediculous down on Wednesday night.

Lee Burridge's 6+ hour marathon set at Pink Mammoth in the middle of a raging dust storm. Unfortunately, I only caught the tail end of this set, but Lee was laying it down proper like he always does.

The Green Moon camp. Great progressive, techno, and trance coming from this stage ALL week. The Moontribe LA crew, the Area709 crew from Canada, all sounded great everytime I went over there. Lots of deep, dark, banging techno and progressive.

The week was AWESOME! I did spend quite a bit of time at Opulent Temple and did see DJ Dan (as you will see in my pics) when I thought I was going to see Gabriel & Dresden. Dan was supposed to be in Vegas then. Oh well--I ended up seeing not one, but two great sets from him!!! No clue when G & D went on but I saw comments about how great they were. I suppose it could've been from people who didn't know that it was actually Dan. It was confusing cuz that other guy was in the booth. Wednesday night was great and I think I saw Lee Burridge at The Deep End also but I had spent a little too much time in the saloon to go snooping around! I loved Rabbit in the Moon's dj set (if the live set did happen, I missed it) and I had the pleasure of seeing Bunny out at Vanguard Saturday night and got to tell him how much I loved his set personally. That was a nice moment for me.

Paul O's set was next to the worst which was Scumfrog's. My gawd, what happened there?? I had to leave. I still don't know what the name of the camp was at 10:00 but there were some killer beatz going on there that I indulged in a few times.

I never made it to Green Moon or Area 709 but really wanted to. So hard to do and see everything!

I'm still suffering from post-BM depression and can't wait already until next year!!

Here are my pics from the week...

i enjoyed 2006 a lot more, personally, but it was still a good year. i cant believe there was a car being marketed right next to the man. i feel like that goes against the whole spirit of burning man, but thats what happens when it gets so popular. anyways, heres some pics....

Some great pics! If that was at sunrise for whatever the G & D time was--I'm in the picture!! HA! This was only my 2nd burn but I did like 2006 better--not just because it was my first either.
