I hope everybody had fun today!
I am not at all able to go today due to Argos game and a film-fest party/screening tonight.
I'll be there bright and early tomorrow though. |

Anyone who isn't there early be prepared to lose an hour of your life waiting for the damn ferry....
|
Don't wait for the ferry. Take the water taxi, it's faster. It's $8 to go across in a group of 10. If you are not in a group the driver waits till the boat fills up. I believe they are docked by the Captain John's restaurant.
Have fun! |

| What a show The Smashing Pumpkins put on, unbelievable. M.I.A was new to me, and I thought she stole the show the 1st day, and ofcourse Artic Monkeys always do their best to represent the amazing rock music that always comes out of the UK (though The Fratelli's at Mod Club was more fun *cough*). I was really hyped to finally see Metric live, and I thought that was going to be it for me on day 2, but I never knew how amazing Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlain were live. I guess im starting to realize when people loved him so much back when they were popular in the 90s. |

| Smashing Pumpkins impressed me with how good they sounded when they were playing the good tunes, but for s sake when they played the new ones it was like a never ending drowned out wail of ty guitar riffs and Billy Corgan screaming. There are so many good songs they could have played instead of that . I still loved hearing hummer, 1979 and tonight tonight, but the rest of the show was junk. |

my review on Tribe...
| quote: | Great ing day on the island...
I made it early enough to catch Paolo Nutini... great voice and perfect for that hour in the day. Unfortunately he didn't play "Last Request" and mumbled something to the extent of "I have one last song, although I thought I had two more". IMO implying he was planning on playing it but the schedule was too tight. WHICH WAS RIDICULOUS given the fact that for an hour there was NOTHING due to Winehouse pulling out.
M.I.A was on ing fire man. Those beats were retarded good, especially that loud! lol WOW. I'm hoping this is only the beginning of how crazy M.I.A will get.
Arctic Monkeys were good background music (lol) and Interpol were so boring they almost brought me to tears.
Seeing Bjork was worth the money for me, (tho I wasn't floored) I felt she delivered. "Hyperballad" and "Declare Independence" were the two highlights in her set for me.
I'm trying to find pictures from the day but to no avail... |
