Making a mix cd

I have made my 1st mix cd to give to a few promoters. Although the beatmatching is spot on i think the is a slight volume/ eq problem with it.
Its is mainly trance and tech/trance I play. Any advice to where the eq's and volumes should be when just doing the simple mix frm 1 track to the other to make it sound better.
You views would be much appreciated. |

i have a djm800 and there are levels on each channel and also on the master. that makes it a lot easier to keep my volumes under control. |

i have a djm800 and there are levels on each channel and also on the master. that makes it a lot easier to keep my volumes under control. |

I have a djm-500 so i have that control. Its more to do with where the eq's should be set when bringing a track in and fading next track out.
Whats your preffered method? |

i have the same issue, but i'm sure it just comes down to practice and it'll naturally just come to you |

There is no standard way of setting up your eq's and levels for all mixes. Each mix will require different eq and level settings depending on the tunes and type of mix you're going for.
TBH mate, if you're asking this question, then you are not ready to be sending out promo CD's just yet ;) |

| If you have any audio editing software you could try changing the levels after you've recorded the mix |
