definitely not worth a flight across the country. I used to drive into the city twice a week from jersey a couple of years ago and spend pretty much every dime I made at that place. The last few times I went they really didn't have anything.
hit up www.Juno.co.uk or better yet just go to beatport |

Record shopping has become an internet based adventure. Go to
www.juno.co.uk
or beatport.com |

its still a record store but top dj gear owns it and has lot more equipment for sale/rent etc etc.
there are other record stores in the city that are worth hitting up as well.
http://www.dancetracks.com/ -great selection for house music, the last and the only tru house music record store in the city.
http://www.discorama.com/ -the basement has the vinyls, many genres including oldschool & hip hop at good prices. if you have time to dig, its worth it when you do it here. west 4th st. near 7th ave location is the one you want to go.
Vinyl Market -Flagship store for "techy"s great selection for techno and its sub genres, small store but cool atmosphere and the owner himself is a dj who spins in the store often.
http://www.fatbeats.com/locations.php -Home of underground hip hop. cool store on 6th Ave. near 8th street on the 2nd floor. good selection of current underground hip hop and some classics + scratch samples/battle records as well.
Virgin Mega Store [14th St. Union Sq.] -The name might throw you off a bit but the vinyl section is worth checkin out. lots of gems hidden start from $9.99 for imports. u just need to give in your ID and theyll give you a cartridge/needle for you to be able to listen to the records on the turntable.
there are more of course but these are some of my recommendations. hope it helped.
keep diggin !
:D

| satelite records used to b good 7 yrs ago ...they have new owners (top dj gear=)and focus on mainly selling clothing and equipment and there not even good at that the only good thing is there trying to get rid of there older records ...if u dig through bins for hours like i do ur bound to find some classics for like a dollar or 2 |
