I'll tell you from one personal experience of mine. I was at my friend's house and he said it was cool that I could spend the night, so I downed a bottle of robo and smoked some weed a little after. I had done 1 bottle before and had a pretty cool trip, but I never expected that the marijuana could give such a huge boost. The first hour, just kept burping and feeling a slight burning in my stomach. About the 2nd hour, started feeling out of it, started getting itchy in my scalp, then it spread all over my body. Had to fight some nausea for that hour. 3rd hour, smoked another bowl, got a pleasant euphoric feeling, and I started to trip out. I was listening to GU019 at the time but I had to turn it off because the room was getting way too sinister and tribal looking. I put on some progressive trance instead, and I had fun the next 3 hours or so. At one point, the patio umbrella outside turned into a giant puffy crab, moving its claws as if it was dancing. And another time, I lost myself into a clump of tall trees standing about 20 feet away from the apartment. For a minute I felt like I was in a giant forest, caught up in the middle of some fantasy tale that didn't make sense and needed to take a moment to remember where I was again.
All in all, it was pretty fun, but it's easy to get carried away with it. One night I drank too much, and my stomach basically told me, " YOU," and I had the most sour and bitter vomit I ever smelled covering my friend's sink. Was not fun trying to clean it while you're still tripping hard. I gotten a dxm cap at a party once but it was . I'm pretty much done with dxm. I'll only do it again if I can get another cap from a reliable source. Otherwise, the robo.

Yeah I forgot about the different plateaus. At the most I ever got to the 3rd plateau. But that was good enough for me. I know a friend who claimed to have gotten to the 4th plateau, having eaten some 40 odd triple C's. He said that he felt the entire world closing in on him, and that somehow, the world formed into a space capsule around him, and he went off on a wild trip through the cosmos. He swears it was the ride of his Life, an experience only topped by DMT. :tongue2

sounds like my [first and only] experience with DXM.
i don't remember what we were listening to, but my friend wanted to watch the visualizations on Winamp and i made him turn the room lights on because i was scared of all the i might see in the dark. i think he ended up watching the screen with all the lights on while i laid on the bed staring at the ceiling thinking that my heart and stomach were going to implode.

i forgot the last stage...i thing it's sigma? however it's very dangerous and i wouldn't even attempt it.

my most notable experiences and memories of those trips are:
my gait: i walked just like ozzy osbourne when i tripped
my speech: i spoke japanese and it took forever for me to speak a sentence in english. (you can definitely feel the affect of dextromethorphan and the language part of your brain)
time: things seemed like events were in a loop... an hour felt like 4. i looked at the clock and it would be 5pm. later on, i look expecting it to be 10 and it's only 7.
i never forgot one trip segment i had when i was sitting on the couch, and i had the semi-hallucination of a half life police officer beating me with a stun gun.
lol, wow its amazing that people felt the need to categorize the trip by dosage... says a lot about the mindstate of the users.
let's face it, do you really believe this crap? LOL
of COURSE the trip gets more intense when you do higher doses... but don't go around following some tripped out druggie's psychobabble about "plateaus" and . haha

dxm is the only drug i have used categories for. of course the higher mg/g you do, the more effects come into play.
well, i wouldn't dismiss the "psychobabble" you speak of. for me, i find it very intresting and i find the "sigma" stage VERY intriguing to read about. i'm not an expert on brain activity under the influence but i do believe that there stages whether or not they are called plateaus.
