Glad you guys are all getting a laugh at my expense. A good coach takes a risk and if I have to say this one more time I am gonna freak out....HE IS NOT THE ONLY PLAYER ON MY TEAM. Vern do you even know who else I picked, ludawg23, same to you. I am all about a good rib here and there and yes it was a risky move but I made it and I stand by it.
I have done quite well in the past few years within the league and if I remember correctly Brian I even beat you in the last regualr season game we had againist each other. So please do go tell complete stangers what I did. I always love it when people make fun of me behind my back and then rub it in my face.
I am so over this. I was hoping this could be in fun. Not everyone on this board ripping me a new one. I am 2 posts away from closing this . |

LOL!!! I know its all good....hey this is why I like football!! Send me a deal and we can talk, but I am not sure i want to give up Bulger just yet when my back up is Romo (still gotta see what he can do this season). After the first couple games then I really get the feel for my team and see who stays and who goes.
And Jerz...I am about an hour away from that :) |

Seriously, it's a bad pick, don't try to justify it because you really can't. You say you did your homework but from the likes of your pick, you really didn't. Priest Holmes in the 1st round?!?!?! The guy hasn't played a FULL season in almost 3 years!!!! Some people grab him in the last 2-3 rounds for their bench just in case and most leagues you can grab him on the waiver wire. You say that you've done well in the past?! I saw your post where you said you sat Brees and Bulger some weeks...they're top 5 QBs in the league, you should NEVER sit those type of players. You say "good coaches" take risks but you sacrificed your 1st round pick and a definite stud fantasy player for a washed up running back who will never be an impact player in the NFL ever again.
Fantasy sports and leagues are all about talking sh1t and having fun. If you can't take the jokes, then I don't know what to say. It's all fun, relax...
I play in a big money league every year, if you're interested in playing let me know because I would absolutely LOVE to have you in my league

Wait... someone drafted Priest in the first round? You do realize he wont be eligible to play until week 6 because hes on PUP. And you could have drafted him with the last pick because Im sure no one would have picked him to take up space.
Theres a difference between taking risks, and just throwing picks away just to do something crazy. A risk is taking Steven Jackson over LT, banking on the fact that SJ wants a 1000/1000 season or taking someone like Frank Gore over SJ cause Gore is the centerpiece and could have 2000 yards, or going for Brandon Jacobs in the 2nd round hoping that he plays up to expectations.
Priest Holmes has no place in the first 15 rounds of a draft. |

Brian: the trade wouldn't be in effect til next week and I am still 70/30 on it. Losman is hit or miss. Alot of potential with Evans, Reed and Price... but their offensive line isnt anything special and they are gonna be using a running back by committee for the time being while Marshawn Lynch gets used to the offense, but even still I dont expect anything miraculous from the Bills running game. Therefore, defenses might run alot of Cover 2 or 3, leaving 7 in the box forcing the Bills to use their running game. |
