German DJ and producer Wippenberg, a.k.a. Olaf Dieckmann, has been a prominent figure in the electronic dance music scene for over a decade. His incredible sound is popular all over the world and is in high demand by many other influential DJs and producers.

Just when his fans think it can't possibly get any better, Wippenberg surprises them again and again as his musical talents grow with every new production. His solo singles, while few, have been powerful enough to make a tremendous, lasting impact.

Wippenberg's first steps were taken as a teenager in the early eighties in the EBM scene, and his career was launched in 1995 with the release of his first single, the hymn "Neurodancer" (Hyper Hype Records). "Neurodancer" was an instant hit as a unique worldwide club-tune, and was licensed in the United Kingdom to the cult-label Prolekult/Hooj Choons. "Neurodancer" is still a popular club track and is always one of the most-wanted, sold-out records on vinyl wholesalers' lists.

Following the success of "Neurodancer," Wippenberg focused on producing many well-known DJs and artists in the studio and hit the world-wide charts. As a result, there wasn’t much time to dedicate to releasing any singles under his beloved solo project. Then, in 1999, he received a remix request from Ian Van Dahl for the hit track "Castles In The Sky." The Wippenberg remix rocked the world and brought him amazing attention - and so it happened that both ATB and Blank & Jones knocked at his door.

When his remixes of ATB's "Let U Go" and Blank & Jones' "Nighttclubbing" hit the scene, Wippenberg was once again the center of international hype about his unique sound. This attention continued following further remixes for artists like Fragma, Dance Nation, NBG, Ayu and the legendary DJ Tiësto. Wippenberg once again proved his production skills and founded his own record label, "Touched By Sound Records". His first release was "Elemental EP 1/2" with the tracks "Fire" and "Water", followed by "Elemental EP 2/2" with the titles "Earth" and "Air". Both EPs were produced especially for DJs and people who are up for pure club music. "Fire" and "Earth" are big-room tunes designed to push a crowd to their limits. "Water" and "Air" are a bit softer and fit perfectly into a trance set.

Feedback on "Elemental EP" from the top DJs was amazing, and granted him even more recognition in the dance music scene. 2006 was a fantastic year for Wippenberg. His friends Cosmic Gate invited him to produce a track together - the result is Cosmic Gate vs. Wippenberg – "Guess Who?" and can be found on Cosmic Gate’s latest artist album, "Earth Mover" (Black Hole Recordings). Wippenberg also did a remix for Cosmic Gate’s single "Should've Known", which many of the top DJs simply call "genius." At the same time, he also finished his new single "Promisedland", which features the talents of Tiff Lacey - a much sought-after vocalist and lyricist already featured in the works of artists like Paul Oakenfold and ATB.

The record release of "Promisedland" (High Contrast Records) in January 2007 contains a phatt remix from Nic Chagall (better known as one half of Cosmic Gate), and a Sphaera remix (a side-project from Wippenberg). Following the great reactions to his remix for Cosmic Gate, he also remixed the brand new single of Super8 & Tab – "Needs To Feel" on Above & Beyond’s label Anjuna Beats, which was one of the most played records on WMC 2007 ! Further remixes for the new singles of Ernesto vs. Bastian, Dogzilla and the re-release of the legendary Gabriel & Dresden – Tracking Treasure Down will follow soon.

Last but not least, a new single is already in production, so watch out - Wippenberg is going to rock 2007!

Thanks for the support....

Take care
