UNDERWORLD this sunday.....at the Hollywood Bowl???? (pg. 3)

Never seen Underworld before. And I gotta say it wasn't up to the hype that everyone gave it. It was cool. But I will say, I enjoyed Oakenfold better. (even with his trainwrecking) He had some sick visuals, better than almost every DJ I have seen. Tiesto still owning the whole big show production experience.

The sound overall for the night was bad. The first 30 minutes were distorted during Oakey and it seemed liked they got it back on track towards the end of his set.

The night was cool, as it is always fun to be outdoors, but I think this is a venue that is not good for EDM. I would of much rather went to this at say the LA Sports arena.

Anyhow, my 2 cents. I got some good video and whatnot, and when I am not feeling lazy I will upload it.

That was because of Oakenfold.

i had a really good time, being outdoors, dancing with a bunch of friends around, listening to underworld. like a dumbass i went from dancing all night to astrix, to one afterhours party then back to my place with a whole group of people for an extended version of afterhours and pool time to underworld, so my brain was mush about 30 minutes before the end. but they still got my butt up to dance as exhausted as i was. thank you so much Mike for the opportunity to go to this. you rock!!! and gil, lol, glad you didn't really lose our tickets and thanks for dropping them off. i was being way lazy :)

are you kidding me?
Oakenfold was absolutely a ing mess, bro.. cm'on James Bond.
Trance is so 2000, i'm surprised he didnt trainwreck in and out of Greece2000. He is over for me.

Underworld are legends, Oakenfold is a legend.. and look who's headlining.. Paul has resorted to being an opening dj for an act who's tracks he has worn the grooves off.

I was blown away, I had Phenominal seats and the sound was so crisp and clean.. it's no EAW Bass but it resonates well out of a HUGE BOWL.

p.s. the Sports Arena

yeah oakenfold needs to retire before he goes down the ter more than he already has....wait is that even possible? i can't believe he played his remix of the james bond theme. i mean seriously.......what was he smoking? trance isn't dead but he is a disgrace. if you want to see trance go watch paul van dyk do it the right way.

underwold was pretty awesome especially the second hour, they really picked it up. and yes man, the sports arena i'm so sick of that place, i'd rather have more dj shows at the hollywood bowl than at the sports arena. it had a pretty good crowd too, more mature people, and no ed up crackheads that i have seen. just people dancing and having a good time. the sports arena was cool at first but that place attracts way too many underage crackhead kids being that there's no age limit, and those overcrowded escalators and the whole upstairs downstairs bull just pisses me off.

I missed PO (thank gawd) seen him enough and had the same amount of disappointments...even at Burning Man last week...

I got my EDM start with Underworld in 1995!! I was clubbing to their great stuff wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy back! Seriously, the sound wasn't that good in the back. There is so much sound lost in that amount of space. I was on a sentimental journey though last night and was so glad to be with such an awesome bunch!

absoinglutely. if its a club experience you want, there are plenty of those in LA.

but if you want to see an OG electronic BAND dropping new tracks and actually improvising and jamming in an open-air venue...there's really nothing better for my money
