Looking for specific software programme

Is there a software programme that records everything you do on your PC, then turns it to video? The reason I'm asking this is because a friend of mine has asked me if I can record him a video tutorial on using Traktor DJ Studio. The only problem I have is that I will not be able to record what is happening on the screen with a simple video camera due to image quality and that nasty streaking artefact you get due to the difference in frame rate. What can I use, preferably a free programme?

| Yeah, there's a bunch of programs that can record what you do on a computer screen. Just Google "screen capture video recorder" or something along those lines. |

Camtasia Studio is "the" screen > video. You can have your webcam pointed at you talking , and it will put a little video of you talking inside your tutorial video down in th corner.. you can do captions, highlighted glowie mouse pointer ..etc etc..
It is not free , but I am sure you can find/borrow a copy :)
