Is there such a genre? Any good tracks?

Higher State of Consciousness?
Project-K
Yes, but it's just refered to as acid. There's a 'breaks' version of everything with a 4x4 beat.

"Higher State of Consciousness" sounds like pitched-down hard house (yes, even the tweekin funk one).

Depends on what you mean by "breaks".

Underground Resistance - The Final Frontier is acid, and technically breakbeat. It leans more in the electro direction though. Anyway, it's one of my favorite tracks of all time.

How about psychedelic trance with breakbeat patterns? Back in 1997 there was a great deal of activity in this area from all sorts of major UK labels (Matsuri, TIP, Blue Room, 21-3, Symbiosis). Artists to look for: Germinating Seeds Of Doda, Synchro, Pan, Metal Spark/Sibilant, Orichalcum, Prana, Eat Static, Medicine Drum, Shakta/Digitalis, AB Oblivion, Cwithe, Funkopath/Andy Guthrie, and the list goes on...

Sorry for bringing this old thread up again but i think this is the next big thing after minimal techno

Any more recommendations sounding like acid breaks?

Cheers!

Yeah, there's just nothing whatsoever indicating that.
