ok this is hard to explain as its never happened before.

i wrote a melody in cubase then exported it as a midi file then as i started a new track i imported it to place it in my track. however i cant seem to click past a certain part in my track.

everytime i click further it just returns instantly to the spot it cant seem to get past. i saved my file before i could remove the midi track so i cant track back and im only on the intro so i didnt feel necessary to make a second file just yet. although ive put alot of work into the intro so starting fresh isnt really an option and im sure its something stupid im missing that is causing the problem.

any help wil be appreciated.

thanks

below is a screen shot of the position it wont go past:

I've had something similar happen to me before... can't remember how I fixed it though.

Does it stop on a defined bar; or some random arbitrary number?

* Check your "Project Setup"
* Duplicate track; remove original and try again.
* Check any settings on marker track

found out the problem. it seems that when you import the midi track it changes the setting from ''use quantize'' to ''bar'' which causes it to contantly revert back to the spot where the midi file was imported.

thought i was going to have to start all over again.

edit: now the tracks dont line up in cue. one problem after another.

its something to do with bars and beats as seconds, frames etc work fine when selected. only problem is i cant put in the tracks in cue with them.
