i'm so excited!!! a while back i heard that either richard gere or george cloonie were to play Mr.Big's role in the movie...i was like WTF?? ..then it was confirmed it was gonna be the original Mr.Big...thanks god...cuz there's no way anyone else can play that role as good
Ashley
They actually started shooing in NYC today!! I'm so excited for this movie, SATC, in my opinion one of the best shows on tv EVER.

It will be interesting to see what they do with the movie as all the girls seemed like they were settled with their guys, and families when the show ended.

I'm excited to see Charlottes baby. I've never been more excited for a movie than this one. Too bad it's not in theatres for another 8 months. :(

it is by far one of the best shows, if not *the* best, I've ever followed on television :)

Better than Queer as Folk? NO WAY!

^^^ oh hell yes! :)

S&C is simply a more quality show. Better acting, better writing and just far more interesting to see how relationships between people played out.

Some called S&C a story about four gay men, lol...from the standpoint that the overriding theme was about the importance and continuity of strong friendships in the face of whatever else life may bring. It's not exclusively to be said of gays, of course...the same can be said for many str8 people as well.

notice how all of the women's relationships, and even their families (which were virutally unmentioned for most characters), took a major backseat in comparison to their friendships.

It was interesting to see a major 180 for most too...

- Miranda, the career woman, ends up with Steve and her baby
- Charlotte, expecting the cookie cutter house, white picket fence, is unhappy with her 'proper' man and finds a down-to-earth, not-her-type-at-first jewish guy, lol
- Samantha, the man-eater, finds love.
- Carrie, though, ends up remaining the singly NYC girl (hopefully the movie expands upon whatever 'Big' means to her, because he had this ridiculous charm about him that made me like him over ALL other guys in her life)

having said that, the eye candy in QAF was pretty damn good, lol (Nathan & Justin's characters, in the British and American versions, respectively...f'ing yum! :D)

I typically can't stand women like Carrie, who chase after men who are a poor reflection of their own self worth...and I hated Big up until the last episode.

I love love loved how he found her there in Paris; crying, dress ruined, in a mess with her pearls strewn across the hotel lobby, and you could tell he really loved HER. She was at her utmost self in that moment, and he loved her for it. It was all the more impacting when contrasted to her relationship with Petrovsky.

Ack, I can't read this thread! I watched the show every now and then as it aired, but not in sequence. So when HMV had each season on sale for 20 bucks last month, I bought the entire series! (except for 3 and 5 since they were out of stock.) I don't know/remember what happens in season 6 so I don't want to spoil it by reading everyone's posts ;)
