I ordered my upgrade today - I thought "what the hell - £129 quid cheap as chips!".. The jampacks included are about $500 according to people, so in terms of value it looks good. Hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow before the weekend. ;-)
I'm only a bit disappointed in what appears to be the lack of new good plugins, but the layout does look good (reminds me of Ableton).
Funny to see that everyone's gone bananas on the Logic forums! :)

I can promise you one thing they didnt remove anything, well from what ive played with thus far... But now i need to find the automation event list.... |
Fr0st, have your au instruments worked ok?
Oh, and do you know if you can run both 7 and 8 on the same system? I've done some searching but no one seems to have an answer for that. |

| Oh you still need the Dongle to run logic 7... But they will run next to each other. Also if you have any previous sessions from 6 or earlier they need to be opened and saved in logic 7 before they can be opened in 8. |

I use a Mac.
I don't use Logic.
Don't buy into . A DAW's a DAW.

EDIT:
Eh, I'm being too harsh. But you get my point. You don't need to fap all over a brand new program and it's features... just whatever. Use what you want.
I'm tired. 'Night. |

Well I don't want to upgrade. I resist change. But eventually for the sake of asking a question and getting an answer and not a "Logic 7? Who has that" I'll have to upgrade eventually. :( |

| I've got a plain old white MacBook 1.83 (intel) w/ a gig of ram... is Logic 8 going to make it cry like a bitch? Or do you think it would run well enough? (1gb is the minimum ram requirement). |
