Just Moved to NYC from Toronto. What clubs have reputations?

I just recently moved to NYC. I was in Toronto going to school. When i was there i was going to a place called Guvernment and that introduced me to the genre. Ever since then i cannot get enough!!
So what clubs around here have a good reputation? if anyone wants to show me personally, its always fun to meet new ppl. |

Welcome! Don't expect anything here like in Toronto...it's not THAT great here. We are more restricted in some aspects but we definetly get some good talent that comes through. The vibe varies on the club and who is spinning. |

yo man, there's nothin quite like the guvy... ANYWHERE. u had a good thing goin in tdot that you're just not going to find in ny, or pretty much anywhere on the east coast.
what is all of this narc talk?? is it to this guy for asking about clubs or euphoria for tellin the truth?? ny's clubbing blows. im just confused. |

| U2trancer, all the clubs are listed and so is the 'party list'. therefore you welcome to get on the party bus. Steven and Vtech host the welcoming committee and AA meetings on Mondays. |

OK being formally from toronto and now in NYC, I would say that Toronto has much better large clubs by far, but NYC gets more parties constantly, and has a decent small-club scene.
The large clubs atm are awful (pacha) (in a lot of peoples opinions. Great outdoor parties in NYC (central park, tobacco warehouse, McCarren park, Keyspan, etc).
NYC def gets a lot more parties to CHOOSE from tho on a weekly basis....sometimes its a little overwhleming with the big talent NYC brings plus a lot of great smaller parties at our fav little clubs: Love, Sullivan room, Rebel, etc.... I never really had issues in toronto trying to decide what parties to go to.. |
