Just a quick question:

Since Paul Van Dyk has been using the Allen & Heath X-ONE 3D his sets have included a really nice sounding effect (sample pasted below) it sound great when he uses it throughout his sets and mainly at a breakdown.

I dont how this effect is being used- is it an effect on the mixer or is it something he has made and uses one on the sends on the Mixer to control it etc?
To me it sounds like a looped Hi hat with reverb and delay and a cymbol crash at the end but im not sure.

Help would be greatly appreciated on this one as I just got myself a 3D and would like to have something similar in my sets.

I've been able to create something similar it using CDJ's & a DJM3000/600. I haven't tried it on my DJM800.

The way I done it was by applying the echo effect to the outgoing deck, than bring up the echo little by little, kinda like making a build up. Than, on the CDJ, make sure you have it set up so that the platter will slow down when you press stop on the outgoing deck. Press stop while applying the effect, and BAM!!! Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If you practice with it, you'll get something close.
