Can Ron Paul pull it off?
So, the reason Dewey was thought to victor over Truman was being of inaccurate research. Surveyors would call random houses and ask "who are you voting for?" The vast majority said Truman. But why did Truman win? Because back then, telephones were very expensive, so anyone who had a telephone was Montgomery Burns RICH, and wanted to vote for the candidate to preserve their riches. Unfortunately (?) poor people came to the rescue (?) and blew Deweys mind.
So Ron Paul is the Internet's favorite candidate and a favorite of the younger voters. If every drunk pothead college kid with a blog tells all their other blogging pothead college friends to vote for Ron Paul, could it overturn all these "scientific polls" that might be excluding a lot of "strung out college kids" that read each others blogs about how the "media lies and rapes my mother", thus don't access these polls on their websites(abcnews.com, foxnews.com)?
I forget what position Michael Moore attained, but I think it was chairman of his district while he was still in high school (the only requirement was 20 signatures and 18 years of age to be on the poll). He catered to his "fellow potheads" to vote for him and he fired his principal. |

| Americans, please tell me one thing: Why do only two parties get all the attention? I don't even know whether the Green Party and the Libertarians have their own candidates... |

Interesting :)
I guess that somehow adds some kind of theoretical background to Mezzir's reply too, showing two sides of the same phenomenon. |

| Ron Paul has my official pothead seal of approval. So does Mike Gravel. I've told my other pothead smoking friends, but I think they're too stoned to care. :sadgreen: |

yeah i was gonna mention that but i couldn't even come close to remembering the technical name or anything so i left it out. the system is flawed, period. so instead of choosing the candidate we like the most, we're forced to choose the candidate who will rape us of our money and values the least in order to have any say |
