iam gonna try and keep it short and straigh to the point
IF YOU HAVENT CHECKED OUT LEE BURRIDGE ALREADY PLEASE DO!!!!
guy stole the show deff one of the best sets i heard
deepest,darkest,funky groveing tech house :crazy:
i got in there at 12 he was already banging out proper, room was fillin up nicely and the vibe was dope
not alot of goombas or cracked out asian head swingers or dumb people
lots of music heads
at 2 lee slowed down a lil i was kinda disapointed but at around 3 dt showed up and waved to the crowd and then from 3 to 4 lee picked it up and didnt look back bomb after bomb
such energy feeding off from him and his music
dt came on the mic at 4 and i though it was just gonna be dt but he said he been waiting a while to tag team with lee and its happening now
i went nuts
first half hour they were dropping serious tech house hammers
after that total 180 they slowed it down i was like wtf? :conf:
at 5 dt took over and to me he sucked
playing minimal and slow deep house it was just such a let down from when they first started tag teaming
webster hall is a good venue not the best
pros: the upstairs has alot of seating to chill out
the syestem is too basey in the back by the bar but once u go upfront its crystal clear and that base goes threw ur spine
cons: the lights and light guy sucked
it was either too dark or it was the same lights looped over and over the whole night
the bathrooms suck they only got one, you gotta travel down like 3 flights to get it
good seeing some nyta's molly,tom,starsoprano,rory james,seb-g and those trance addicts from la
overall it was deff a fun night :D |

*as mentioned before, maybe they kept the lights low because DT is bothered by bright lights, glowsticks, lasers, cameras, etc.
Wish I coulda made it, but my cashflow sucks right now. |

| When DJs make their sets into work is when it comes out sounding like they trying to hard and to me its as lame as it gets. This is brought up because of some late sets i heard from some local NY RockStar DJs. Funny enough is that when you ask any DJ about learning how to DJ; most likely you will get a response that you outta approach it as a hobby and never look at it as a career. |

| Lee Burridge is my new hero. He was absolutely fabulous. I wanted to stay longer, but my body gave out at about 5:40. Lovely hanging out with Erica, Tom, John & Jeff, and seeing Rory and Andrew. Great night. |

We were up in the air with where to go as our legs were feeling like jello after Underworld rocked our worlds.
Digweed was the effen man on Friday. Pacha was full but there was still room to dance...perfect space. We got in around 2am and the fist pump was in full affect all night. Started with some very techy house....moved it to some very dark and dramatic progy stuff and then at about 430am he was hitting people over the head with bomb after bomb. I could only ID 2 or 3 tracks but that is why he is Digweed and I am not.
Track of the night: Speak Lord (I Get Deep) - Roland Clark ( no idea on the remix)
Well worth the 40 bucks to get in....my body is still and pain but after a night like that i could care less. |

Lee mother fuking Burridge is THE MAN!! He reeks pure awesomeness :). I agree with Ay Star.. You NEED to check him out halloween weekend. [so STOKED!!]
I got in @ 1:30 thinking Lee would go on 1ish but after reading Ay's review he prob went on earlier!! Anyways the vibe was PERFECT. This was my 2nd time being @ Webster Hall and it was much better than CG & JooF night. They actually utilized the Stage area to set up Lee front and center close to the dancefloor.
Unlike CG & JooF night where the mainfloors sound was just HIGH's and the 2nd floors was much better. Spirit's sound system kicked butt on the main floor but the sound didn't travel well upstairs.
After spending a good 30 mins wandering around Webster Hall asking everyone who worked there where was James Holden playing [nobody freaking knew!!] I finally found it. The hard way :p. haha I pretty much did a big circle but w/e i am a noob. Holden was great for the time i did see him. I wanted my boyfriend to hear Holden because he had never seen him play [He's another everyone should see atleast TWICE haha].
The sound in that room must be where the old main room speakers were.
Holy was it bad in there. Holden plays alot of glitcy "nintendo" sounding music which can be High pitched at times. It was so FREAKING loud in a room that is 2x4, and whenever a glitchy sound came on it was murder to my ears. After 15 mins in there we had to go back to the main room.
Completely missed Fairmont and I hope MADE brings Holden & Fairmont back to have their own night.
I thought it was cool to have Lee and DT go b2b but I can not stand DT. He's never been my style. In Miami he attracts nothing but a MASSIVE gay crowd. Not that there is anything wrong with it but he also plays that Diva House. He is just not my style. I left after Lee's 3rd song with DT. Around 5 am.
It was a great night. Didn't see too many TA's. I saw Rory but I didn't see anyone with him so I didn't get to meet you Ay Star.
Oh yeah.. If I had a nickel for everytime some douche bag screamed out DANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN-NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNY whenever LEE dropped a sick track, I'd be a rich bitch.

With earplugs or not the sound in that room was plain horrid.:nervous:
Such a shame when there's such a great dj playing. |

i did the same thing as you mel took me literally 20 min to find where holden was playin i kept askin everyone first they tell me downstairs then upstairs blah blah blah was annoying
i checked him out for a lil bit
not really my cup of tea plus lee was hammering out so i didnt wanna miss his set lol
yea dt and lee was deff dope that first track was amazing
some male vocal about being insane or somethin :crazy:
dt did suck iam so disapointed cause usually when he does back2back tagteam sets he usually keeps the vibe goin not bring it back down so who knows
maybe next time when hes alone ill just check him out afterhours
p.s i was with rory later on in the night mostly when it was lee's final hour till i left at like 5:30
