my advice is to go see Danny on Saturday. I am a huge lawler and howells fan, however, danny playing an open to close/all night set is what he's meant to do. he tells a story from beginning to end. he's funky- he's proggy- he'll even bring the tech if the mood is right- one of the most diverse djs around... yet once you hear his style, you'll know his sound.

i haven't missed him a single time he's come to toronto since 2004... howells is consistant from his two hour time slots to his all night gigs.

like i said- i'm a huge lawler fan too- but danny hasn't played an open to close since new years eve 2006- so this will be a good party... the vibe, the tunes, the people....

i hope this helps...

[i]i'm curious on what montreal will say- they LOOOOOOVE his marathon sets.....

Danny > Lawler, easily.

He's just one of those next level DJs. What really shines about DJs like him is his obvious love, appreciation, and knowledge of music. No matter what he plays, you can always get a sense of that. Up there with the greats, that's for sure.

Lawler's really good, but I wouldn't put him in the same category.

Please download and listen to this Essential Mix. It illustrates Jenny's point very well.

Steve Lawler's got nothing on Danny Howells. They really are not even in the same league.
